When to Outsource

Welcome back, friends! Last month we went over the basics of what it looks like when it comes to working with a WordPress developer. Today I want to talk to you about when exactly is the right time to bring a WordPress developer onto your team is. Whether you are a web agency or a designer, knowing when to start outsourcing will benefit you and your business’s needs.

If you are a designer…

There’s probably a good chance you’re ready to hire a WordPress developer when your schedule is booked out months in advance. Or maybe you’re ready to design and manage projects that are more complicated than you can build, and you need a WordPress developer to help you. You will be able to design what ever you want, and not just what you can code! If you’re ready to share all the ideas in your head with someone who can bring them to life, you may be ready to hire a WordPress developer!

One thing to keep in mind when beginning to outsource: Are you charging enough? A WordPress developer is more than likely going to charge twice as much, so you want to make sure that you can cover the cost.

If you are a web agency…

You’ll want to hire a WordPress developer when your agency is starting to grow and you need additional talent on hand. If you don’t have enough in the budget to hire a full-time developer, hiring someone to handle a specific project is just as beneficial.

In the long run, this will mean that you can offer your clients more because you’ll have an expert on hand to assist you with domain management, migrations and all the technical things. Another plus to adding a developer to your team is less time on Google!
